Pathway 1: Refer a Friend (Duo Entry)
Bring someone into the squad and share the love!
Know someone aged 12–20 who could use a safe, fun space like Livewire Online? Invite them to join – and you’ll both go into the draw to win a Nintendo Switch with Super Mario Odyssey – each!
How to Participate
- Invite a friend who meets Livewire’s member criteria:
- Aged 12–20
- Living with a chronic health condition, serious illness, or disability
- OR experiencing hospitalisation
- OR a sibling of someone who is
- Share the sign-up link or flyer.
- Your friend signs up and completes validation to become a Livewire member.
- Submit your referral details via the SquadWire entry form (both usernames).
Bonus: Every successful referral = another entry for you! More friends, more chances to win.

How to Participate
Option A – Poster Power
- Download the Livewire promo poster from the link below.
- Print and display it at school, hospital, or a community space.
- Snap a photo of the poster in place (no faces required) and email to livewire@starlight.org.au with the subject line: “SquadWire Poster – [Your Username]”
- Fill out the form below
Option B – Story Share
- Tell us: “How has Livewire Online made a difference in your life?”
- Submit your story as text via the form below.
- And/Or submit your story as video, voice note, or artwork via email to livewire@starlight.org.au with the subject line: “SquadWire Story – [Your Username]”
Reward: All entries go into the draw to win a Nintendo Switch OLED model – The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom edition! The winner will be chosen as the most outstanding entry by our judging panel.

You’ll be entered if you:

Who can enter?
- Current Livewire Online members aged 12–20
- New members who join during November (for wildcard draw)
When does SquadWire run?
- Entries open Nov 1 and close Dec 31.
Can I enter both pathways?
- Yes! More entries = more chances to win.
Can I enter more than once?
- Yes! You can submit multiple entries in Pathway 2 and refer multiple friends in Pathway 1. Each valid entry = another chance to win.
Can a member who joins in November also participate in pathways one and two?
- Yes! Once you are a member, Livewire is now just as much your community as anyone’s — so promote away!
Do I need permission to display the poster?
- Yes, make sure you have permission from the school, hospital, or community space before putting up the poster.
What if my friend doesn’t complete sign-up?
- Your referral only counts once your friend completes full validation as a Livewire member.
Can I use my story or artwork elsewhere?
- Absolutely! It’s your creation. Just know that if you give permission, we may feature it in future Livewire promotions.
Do I need to show my face in photos or videos?
- Nope! Faces are not required. We want you to feel comfortable and safe.
How will I know if I’ve won?
- We’ll contact winners directly via the email linked to their Livewire account in early January 2026.
What if I don’t have a printer for the poster?
- No problem! You can choose the Story Share option instead.
Can I join SquadWire if I’m already in another Livewire challenge?
- Yes! SquadWire works alongside other activities, so you can do both.
Do I need to pay for anything?
- No, Livewire Online and SquadWire are completely free.
How will winners be chosen?
- Pathway 1: Random draw for referral duo
- Pathway 2: Judged for most outstanding entry
- Wildcard: Random draw from eligible participants
When will the prize draws take place?
- Prize winners for Pathway 1, 2 and the Wildcard wil be drawn/decided in early January 2026
When will I receive my sticker pack/prize?
- All sticker packs and prizes will sent out in January 2026
What if I need help with my entry?
- Reach out to the Livewire team via livewire@starlight.org.au We’re here to help!
Can I withdraw my entry?
- Yes, just contact us before the closing date if you’d like to remove your submission.
Can I win a Switch even though I won a prize in Legend Convention 2025?
- Members who came first, second or third in Legend Convention 2025 are not eligible to win a Switch in Squadwire 2025. However, all members who participate are eligible for a Sqaudwire sticker pack and are encouraged to get invovled!
If I win a Switch but I want to pass it on to another member, can I?
- Yes, in the case that the member who wins one of the switches decides they want to pass it on, the winner will be redrawn. The original winner will receive a Generosity Badge on their profile.
Will my real name or username be shown if my story is shared?
- No. To protect your privacy, your Livewire username is always kept private and will never be shared publicly.
If Starlight ever wants to include a name with a quote (for example, for philanthropy or media purposes), we’ll contact you once to ask for ongoing permission. This means you can give us a one-time “yes” or “no” that applies to future uses. It’s completely up to you. Even if you say yes, we will never use your full name and will never use your username.
SquadWire Terms & Conditions
Eligibility
- You must be a current and validated Livewire Online member aged 12–20 to enter Pathway 1 or Pathway 2.
- New members who join Livewire Online during November or December 2025 are eligible for the Wildcard Draw.
- Livewire membership is free and subject to standard eligibility criteria.
Entry Requirements
- Pathway 1 (Refer a Friend):
- Submit both your username and your referred friend’s username via the official SquadWire entry form.
- Your referral only counts once your friend completes full validation as a Livewire member.
- Multiple referrals are allowed; each valid referral counts as an additional entry.
- Pathway 2 (Story Share or Poster Power):
- All content must be Livewire-appropriate (safe, respectful, inclusive).
- Creative entries can include text, video, audio, image, or artwork.
- Poster Power entries must include a photo of the poster displayed in a permitted location (no faces required).
- If using AI tools, you may only use them for one element of your submission (e.g., AI-assisted image OR AI-assisted description, not both).
- You must complete your own description if AI is used for the creative element.
- Multiple entries are allowed; each valid entry counts as an additional chance in the draw.
Deadlines
- Entries open November 1, 2025 and close December 31, 2025 at 11:59 PM AEDT.
- Late submissions will not be accepted.
Judging & Prize Draws
- Pathway 1: Winner selected by random draw from valid referral entries.
- Pathway 2: Winner selected by a Starlight/Livewire staff panel for the most outstanding creative entry.
- Wildcard Draw: Winner selected by random draw from eligible participants (anyone who entered Pathway 1 or 2, signed up during November/December, or participated in The Big Blanket or QuailMail projects).
- Prize draws will take place in early January 2026.
- Winners will be notified via the email linked to their Livewire account.
Prizes
- Pathway 1: Each member of the winning duo receives a Nintendo Switch console with Super Mario Odyssey.
- Pathway 2: Winner receives a Nintendo Switch OLED – The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom edition (game not included).
- Wildcard Draw: Winner receives a Nintendo Switch OLED with a copy of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
- Participation Reward: Every SquadWire participant receives a SquadWire Sticker Pack, including:
- SquadWire logo sticker
- “Livewire Legend” badge sticker
- A selection of fun Livewire-themed stickers
- No cash alternatives or substitutions.
- All sticker packs and prizes will be mailed in January 2026.
Consent & Use of Content
- By entering, you agree that Livewire may use your submitted content (stories, artwork, photos) for promotional purposes, acquittals, or platform features, with your permission.
- You retain ownership of your creative work.
General Conditions
- Livewire reserves the right to disqualify entries that do not meet eligibility or content guidelines.
- Decisions by the judging panel and prize draws are final.
- Livewire is not responsible for technical issues preventing entry submission.
Responses
