Inside Livewire

Livewire is a safe and fun online community designed especially for children and young people aged over 10 and under 21 living with a serious illness, chronic health condition or disability.
But what is it?
Livewire is a safe online community, where you can read up on all the latest news and goss, meet new people, catch up with old friends, play games, and basically hang out and have fun. As well as being able to send messages to friends, Livewire members have so much to see and do on the site.
Blogs are like online journals. You can use it to express yourself in any way you like; keep everyone updated on your day to day life, have a vent when something annoys you, share exciting news, publish your stories and poems… anything you want! It’s up to you if you keep your blog private as something only you can read, or if you publish it for the Livewire community to check out too.
Games range from crosswords, sudoku and word games, through to car racing and old-skool arcade gaming. Livewire is constantly adding new games to keep you entertained.
Forums are a place where you can leave messages to discuss topics. Common topics on Livewire include sharing favourites, school, music, current TV shows, and games.
Galleries are a great way to share pics. Check out the photo collections published by the Livewire team, or submit your pics to galleries such as the Livewire Member Pet Gallery.
Articles cover all topics from the latest celeb gossip, updated Top 40 charts, recipes, previews and reviews, current events, cool technology, sports events, fashion and style tips, and anything else you ask for! Video and audio add a fun spin to Livewire articles, letting you watch film clips, movie trailers and exclusive Livewire films, as well as listen to music and other sound clips.
Chat rooms are for Livewire members only. Come and meet new people, catch up with old friends, chat about topics of your choice, take part in games and quizzes to win cool prizes, or just hang out with the Chat Hosts and Livewire members.
Livewire belongs to the members; if there’s something they want that isn’t there, chances are the Livewire team will provide it.
