Meet ScoutWA

09 Dec 2008

Hi, my name is ScoutWA.

I am a member of the world wide Scouting movement. Scouting is the biggest youth movement in the world.

I  joined in May 2005. I do all my badges verbally as can’t manage them easily physically, which makes a little harder.

I belong to the 1st Beldon troop of Perth WA. I’ve had many group leaders, but at the moment they are Sharky, Wombat and Raven. These are their scouting names.

I’m the only original group member left. The others have moved on to venturer units in other areas but Beldon is opening their own venturer unit soon, for 16-18 years old and I will be attending that although I am already a Beldon venturer.

Wombat is stepping up to be our venturer leader. I became an assistant patrol leader, then stepped up as patrol leader in scouts but I had to stand down to become a venturer.

Some of the badges that I earned in Scouting are for senior first aid, peer mediation, and emergencies. The venturer skills award this is the first badge in venturers. I will soon get the 2008 McHappy Day badge as I co-ordinated car washing, hair spraying, and face painting. We raised over $1,000.
